Addy’s Bedroom Tour!

By greathomedecorideas

– What are we gonna do today Addy? – My room tour! – [Lucy] Alright, DoDoDoDooo! – My room! – [Lucy] Addy’s bedroom! Why don’t we show them
the top of your bed? Is it cozy up here? – Yes. – So Addy’s been very into balloon art. So maybe at the end of
the video you can make a special balloon
arrangement for our guests. Hi everyone! We are sitting on the stairs to the upstairs of our house because we’re getting
ready to shoot a video that you guys have been asking for for quite a while. What are we going to do today, Addy? – My room tour! – Exactly! You’re going to see in detail what all is inside Addy’s room.

Should we go? – Yeah.
– Let’s do it. – So, when you come upstairs in our house we have three bedrooms here. We have Colin’s room over here, which we’ll save for
another room tour video. If we spin this way, we have Maya’s room. And then Addy. – My room! – [Lucy] Here is your room. All right, DoDoDoDooo! – My room! – [Lucy] Addy’s bedroom is right here. – Yeah. Alright, so, let’s start off at the desk. – And before she shows
you around the desk, we get so many emails from parents asking where we got the girls’ loft beds, and I’ll tell you right now, they are from Pottery Barn Teen, and they still have them.

Alright Addy, show us what
is inside your desk-bed. – Desk, desk desk! So, I kinda hang up
decorations on these things. – [Lucy] Yes, you have
little decorations here who do we have here? – Avery and me! All right, sometimes I sit down here. – [Lucy] OK! – The first night our
grandparents got here, I made this rainbow, unexpectedly. – Yes, Addy’s been very
into balloon arts, lately.

Did you get a kit or
how’d you first learn? – Well, basically when I first learned our grandma, so we were
out shopping with her at the grocery store, and she let us each pick out a mini toy and I chose this balloon set that came with a pumper,
these kinds of balloons, and a manual on how to make like flowers, dogs, swords,
and that’s basically it. And I followed that manual and I learned, I kind of memorized how to make them. And I find new things, like a rainbow. – [Lucy] Yes you’ve been
getting very creative lately, that was not in the manual, that was something you
tried on your own, right? – Yes, and also once I
made Collin a banana bundle when he was pretending to be a Minion. ( Lucy laughs) It didn’t last very long.

– Maybe at the end of the video you can make a special balloon
arrangement for our guests. That could be fun. What else do you want to
show me of your desk area? – Over here, my squishy collection! I have one, two, three,
four, five squishies. – [Lucy] I like the
kitty that’s a big one. – Yeah I painted this part. And then this one is my
favorite ’cause it’s furry. And Addison, my friend on
the bus I used to go on, made me these squishies. – And Addy’s a big reader, I see some of the books
she’s read over there. What are you currently reading? – Harry Potter Year One. – [Lucy] Harry Potter, the
very first book, right? – Yeah, right here.

– [Lucy] How far into it are you? – Hmm, about on chapter four. – Chapter four, OK! And then I noticed she had a pile of books down below her desk area, let’s see what do we have? – I made this into a library. – [Lucy] Ah! – So here’s “Where’s Waldo.” – [Lucy] Oh okay, so you have little– – [Addy] Fun stories, for young readers. – [Lacy] Labels for your books. So I see dork diaries, bible stories, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” these are all for playing library, Addy? – Yeah. – [Lucy] So what else is in your room that you wanna show at your desk? – This! – Oh yes, get that out
and bring it right here, we got to take a closer look at this.

When we moved out of Arizona we had a very hard time saying
goodbye to our best buddy. Who’s your best buddy, Addy? – Avery. – Avery, and Avery gifted
her this amazing poster with some of the pictures
that they have together. – Can I show you my favorite? – Yes! Please do. – Okay, this is my favorite. Do you know what we call it? – [Lucy] What is that called? – Sippy cup showdown. – [Lucy] (laughing) Because
you both have sippy cups. That was a cute one. – This one was actually
not long before we moved. – [Lucy] Yes, I took this
picture of you two at a park, it’s one of my favorites too. And look, there’s Maya, you,
and Avery all snuggled up when you were little, little babies! – [Addy] And there’s our
first day at kindergarten.

– [Lucy] Aww, yep kindergarten. – [Addy] Oh wait, no that’s not
our first day, that’s our… – [Lucy] That’s kindergarten graduation. – Yeah, mhmm.
– Mhm. You guys are in preschool
together I think. – [Addy] Yeah, preschool
through first grade. – [Lucy] Dance photo, I just
love all these pictures! Oh, Halloween, there
you were a super girl. What else you wanna show us? – I know, Maya, her windows
have a beautiful view out front. But mine just leads to this. And you know what I’m thinking? – [Lucy] What are you thinking? – That it’s a beautiful, summery night. We can open these windows. – [Lucy] (laughing) Uh-huh! – Get out there, and lay down on the roof and see the stars.

– This is the, top of
our screened-in porch is out here actually so
you can see the soon roof or the sun lights. And then big trees out there. It’s funny because when
we first bought the house one of the thoughts
that entered my mind was it would be pretty cool
to put in a cool balcony from this bedroom someday, and turn her window into
like actual French doors, and a cool balcony where you
can go out there and sit. So, I don’t know if it will ever happen but it was a fun thought.

That would be a cool
balcony space, wouldn’t it? – Oh no, all I want to do is just go stargazing out there. – [Lucy] (laughing) That would be fun too. – Without any balloons. – [Lucy] Speaking of stargazing, you have your telescope here. – Oh yeah. – [Lucy] We just bought
this for a video, actually so I don’t think you’ve really had time to check it out and actually use it. – (laughing) No. – [Lucy] But that could be fun. Why don’t we show them
the top of your bed? We’ve seen below it, what the desk is like but we haven’t been up top yet. We could show your bedding and all that! Is it cozy up here? – Yeah.
– One of my favorite things about the girls having these loft beds is that you can’t tell from down below if the bed is made or not so could be an absolute disaster up here and I’d have no idea when
I walk into the room.

Because your bed is not
usually made, is it Addy? – [Lucy] And your bedding, do you remember where we got your bedding from? – Justice! – Justice, exactly. We get a lot of questions about that too, where are the girls’ beddings from? Maya has unicorn bedding, Addy’s is this cool, like,
almost like tie dye pattern and both are from Justice. – Yeah! I made this during school. It took me about an hour or two. When I finished it, and I decided to make it a banner for my wall. – [Lucy] It’s a big finger braid. – Four finger braids. – [Lucy] Addy learned how
to make four finger braids in school didn’t you? – Yeah recess, there’s was this teacher who lived right across the
street from the school, her name was Ms. Marty, and she taught us how to
finger braid with one finger. – We can always find bunches of yarn all around our house
from Addy finger braiding everywhere she goes. This was from grandma’s house. A golden retriever stuffed animal. And you’ve had that for a long time now.

– Mhm! – Yep. All right, that was on top of the bed let’s get down and we’re gonna see what else we have inside Addy’s room that she wants to share with you guys. Oh my goodness Addy! I kinda wish I hadn’t seen that because I’ve never seen
her get down this way. These big poofy chairs are what we get a lot of comments on too. I honestly don’t remember
where we got them from, but I will tell you that
they are very cool looking, but they are not super
comfortable to sit in. – I have a cushion up here. – [Lucy] (laughs) There you go,
they’re just not comfortable to lounge in, I don’t feel like. – Yeah, I mean, if you
want to lay like this. – [Lucy] Go like that? – These pillows are so smelly
from the toy-maker’s studio. – [Lucy] They’re smelly? – Uh-huh. – [Lucy] What do you mean smelly? – They’re scented. – Oh, they’re scented? Wait, I never knew they
were scented let me see! Are they, kind of!
– Here, this one, may have a bit more scent.

– I don’t know how they are scented. (laughs) – They are. – [Lucy] They are, Okay. – I smelled. Okay, so over here we have. – [Lucy] Yes, we have lot’s of flippy sequence stuff don’t we? – Yeah. – Here’s baby Addy, this is one of my
favorite pictures of her! This photo’s from when she
was just six months’ old! She was so teeny-tiny and she could barely
sit up for this photo. She’d sit up and then she’d fall over and we had to get her really quickly. – I remember when we
took a picture of Collin when he did that, on Easter. – [Lucy] Mhm, yep. And here we have you and Avery again. – [Addy] Yay. – [Lucy] And our family
before Colin, at Disneyland! Oh over here, this one
has a big “A” in it. – Yeah, you did it.

– [Lucy] I did, I have fun coming in here and playing with these too. – Yeah this one’s better
at flipping than that one. – [Lucy] And then, Addy,
we have this and this. Tell us about that. – I just take violin lessons. – [Lucy] Violin lessons,
what songs to you know how to play right now? – I’m working on “Lullaby.” I’m working on “Go Tell Aunt Rhody.” I know “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” I’m still working on “Ode to Joy,” “My Dreidel” and “Jingle Bells,” and as well as “Mary Had a Little Lamb.” (Lucy laughs) – So, basically I know a lot of songs.

– I guess so! Neither Jason nor I are
musically gifted at all, we don’t know how to read notes we don’t know how to play anything. I have a terrible singing voice, sadly, so I’m pretty impressed that she wanted to take violin lessons. I’m pretty proud of her. And Addy’s over here digging
through her desk drawer what else are you finding to show us? – I know how to sew also. – [Lucy] Oh you are, you love
to sew I forgot about that! – Oh, and I also have one of my sewing products downstairs too. – [Lucy] Mhm, she made
me some little mice, her sewing kit, this owl is cute. – Ooh, and this. – [Lucy] What is that? – This is the golden unicorn. There’s only 20 in the whole world. Oh, and also I’m working
on sewing a pillow.

I’ll show you!
– A pillow? Okay. – I’ll go get it. – So back through the door
that Addy just went through, the girls have a Jack and Jill bathroom a bathroom that connects
Addy’s room to Maya’s room, and their closets are
back in there as well. Oh, did you get it? Oh here’s your pillow? Oh, I like it! So this is a patch on the pillow and you’re gonna sew it all up? – [Addy] Yeah, yeah. – [Lucy] Looks good, girlie! – Right now I’m still working
on sewing this part on. – [Lucy] Oh and look who came in? – [Addy] Hi Maya. – Yeah, Dad told me what we’re doing, so.

– We’re filming a room tour of Addy’s room and we’re gonna do one of
you coming up very soon too. And do you think we could do
one of Colin’s room, too? – (gasping) Yes! – I think so too. So is there anything in Addy’s room that you want to show us, Maya? Addy’s been showing us some
of her favorite things. – No. – Could you think of
anything that you think is extra special, or
that you love to come in and play with when Addy’s not home? – [Addy] Oh, come on! (laughs) – I never do that. – You never do that? – Just my favorite part
is playing with the Legos when I’m allowed to. – Oh yes, Addy does have
a lot of Lego friends in her closet, but they’re
hidden on shelves for a reason. Right, Addy?
– So Colin doesn’t get it. – [Lucy] So Colin doesn’t get into ’em. – But you know who else breaks Legos? – [Lucy] Who? – You. – Ooh, you called me out? Yeah, Addy had a big lego I think it was a yacht or a catamaran I can’t remember what they called it.

– [Addy] Cruise. – A cruise ship? I don’t know. But I ended up dropping
it when I moved a shelf and I felt pretty badly. Now I said at some point the other day we’re gonna have Addy make
something for your guys, something special with her balloons. Maya, you love it when Addy
makes balloons for you. – Yes! – [Lucy] What’s your favorite
thing she’s made for you? – A dog. – [Lucy] A dog, what do you think Addy? What do you wanna make for our viewers? I think since Maya since you
loved her dog she made you, should we have her make a dog? – [Addy] Yep.
– I think we should do that. All right, she’s gonna
show us how she does it. Let’s see Addy.
– What color? – [Lucy] Ooh, Maya’s
gotta pick the color out. What do you think Maya? – [Maya] Maybe you should
make a golden retriever. – [Lucy] A golden retriever. – You tie the balloon. – [Lucy] So you blew up a
long strand of a balloon. – But then it’s gonna
turn into a tiny dog.

– [Lucy] Okay! (upbeat music) – We have her face.
– So what is this? Oh the face! So is this like a tongue? – I guess, and then we go down here! (upbeat music) – [Lucy] So this is the
giant tail of a dog? (laughs) – No it’s not supposed to be! I will fix it! – [Lucy] So wait, your getting scissors? You’re fixing it with scissors? Ooh you’re gonna pop it! (balloon pops) Ooh! As you can see, Addy is very creative she doesn’t always go by the book. I don’t know if she learned
how to do this by the book but if things don’t go wrong, like the balloon pops or
it doesn’t work out right she figures it out and fixes it which is a pretty cool
skill to have because I honestly probably would’ve
just thrown the balloon away and just started fresh again. Are you excited to see
what your dog looks like? – Yay! (Lucy laughs) – We’re done. We have her face, with
a tongue and everything. – [Lucy] Totally looks like a doggy.

We got the tongue, the
mouth, the eyes, the tail. Awesome Addy, I’m impressed. – Yay, doggy! – [Lucy] (laughing) want it Maya? – A flying doggy! – I thought of one more thing over here that I want to show. Bring those two kitty
cats over here, Addy. Addy got something for
her birthday, I think, from her grandparents. What are these, Addy? – Earrings! – [Lucy] Earring holders.

You got a bunch of cute earrings. She got little XOXO
ones, little bees, owls, roller skates, or ice skates I mean. But, have you used any of them yet, Addy? – No. – No, why not? Tell us why you haven’t used
any of these earrings yet. – I’ve been trying get my earrings out, that are on right now, it’s hard. – (laughs) It’s hard. So you may have seen we
did a video on our channel were Addy actually got her ears pierced. She went to Claire’s, she got them pierced it was super exciting,
she did a great job, but she has been afraid to
take them out, because, well.

– I have not been afraid,
I’ve tried like 15 times. – She’s tried a few times, but it’s hurt and so we have all these cute earrings that we haven’t had a chance to use yet. So I’m hoping that Addy
will be brave enough to try to take her
earrings out soon, Addy. So we can try to use all
these cute little earrings? – Soon, I’ve tried yesterday. – You tried yesterday? – Yeah. – [Lucy] So you’re just gonna wear those earrings forever, Addy? – Maybe. (Lucy laughs) – Oh and my favorite ones
are my first danglies, a fan made them for me. – [Lucy] Oh, someone did make
those for you, didn’t they? – Yeah. – Those were cute. Well, that was Addy’s room
tour, we hope you enjoyed it! And we’ll be back soon with a tour of Maya’s room and Colin’s room. It should be lots of fun. What do we tell all our viewers right now? – XOXO! – Thanks,
– Bye! – for watching everyone! (upbeat music).
